As far as I can remember, I frequented Swensen’s since I was a little girl. My family would always bring me there for free ice cream on my birthday, and I could still remember the moments when I saw the little lit-up candle approaching me from a distance. Ah, such sweet memories!
Swensen’s first opened its doors in Singapore in 1979, serving delicious ice cream to locals. Since then, it has developed into a restaurant chain with over 27 outlets in Singapore. They now also offer casual dining and serve hearty foods, desserts, cakes, and all that good stuff!

Baked Spaghetti Bolognaise (SGD 17.90)
The baked spaghetti bolognaise came in a huge portion so I recommend sharing this dish with someone else.

Beef Lasagne (SGD 17.90)
I love those fried onions on top – it’s crispy and savoury! The tomato-based sauce was really flavorful and slightly tangy. There’s also spinach between the pasta layers which is uncommon in a lasagna, but it went well with everything.

Crispy Cornflake Chicken (SGD 17.90)
I was so surprised by how big the chicken is (really, it’s bigger than my hand)! The chicken is boneless, tender, and juicy. The fries are just okay. The coleslaw is better than most of the ones I’ve tried at other restaurants, except that it has pineapples that I don’t prefer, and neither did it have much taste.

Mega Burger (SGD 17.90)
I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this burger. I also liked how they incorporated eggplants into a burger as this made it more unique in flavor and texture.

Lamb Chops (SGD 27.90)
The mint sauce is the star of the show here. The lamb meat is tender, flavorful, and easy to cut through. The veggie sides are typical of other Western restaurants, but the lamb is one of the better ones I’ve tried in Singapore.
My Favorite Item on the Menu
The mega burger is my favourite. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it, except for the tomatoes (only because I don’t like tomatoes). But everything else is just the yummiest.
